We are looking for a Permanent Full-time, Supervisor, Job Preparation Placement Counsellors, Employment Services, to work within our Mississauga location and supports our Western Division.
The Supervisor Job Preparation and Placement Counsellors, Employment Services, play a crucial hands-on role in leading, managing and supporting a team to achieve all organizational goals and objectives. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring productivity, and consistently meeting targets and fostering a positive work environment. Set and monitor job start performance targets for the team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and sustainable employment for our clients.
Provide coaching and support to team members to enhance their performance and help them meet individual and team targets.
Analyze data and metrics to assess team performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
Implement and utilize performance measurement tools and systems to effectively monitor and evaluate team performance.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members, recognizing achievements and addressing areas for improvement.
Continuously review and refine targets and performance indicators to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work culture, promoting teamwork, cooperation, and professional development.
Certified Career Development Practitioner and recruitment and job development experience considered an asset.
Must have a valid driver's license, travel required with the GTA.
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of our services that we administer through Employment Ontario, and how we can support employers and the individual needs of jobseekers in achieving sustainable employment.
Understand the complexities of working with inclusion groups that are farthest from the labour market.
Ability to develop outreach strategies to employers, develop long term mutually beneficial relationship, connecting our value proposition to their workforce needs, advocating, and promoting our clients’ individual skillsets to employers with the focus on the most barriered and unrepresented groups and the value that they bring to an organization.
Strong problem-solving skills, with a track record of identifying and implementing solutions to improve team performance.
Strong proficiency in using computer programs and digital tools for job search, networking and communication.
Ability to empathize with job seekers and provide support and guidance.
Ability to identify challenges and develop creative solutions.
Proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data.
Flexible approach to problem solves and willingness to adjust strategies based on feedback and new information.
