Bairn Croft Residential Services (BCRS) provides the highest quality residential and community-based services and treatment for individuals with developmental disabilities and special needs. BCRS offers a dynamic environment for individuals to gain experience in various fields, including social work, child services, law enforcement, youth justice, education, counseling, psychology, Cognitive-Based Therapy, and Applied Behavior Analysis. A day program group facilitator needs to lead a small group with confidence, maturity, and a proven dedication to working with individuals of all ages facing developmental disabilities, behavioral disorders, and different functioning levels.
Working with individuals of all ages in a community-based day program setting.
Target Groups or Residents: Our services support individuals of all ages, genders, and abilities, including those from culturally diverse backgrounds, and those with disabilities such as deafness/hard of hearing, blindness/visual impairment, intellectual, learning, and mental health disabilities.
Provide daily living support to individuals with special needs
~ Administering medication according to the Branches day program policy.
~ Coordinate with social services and healthcare providers
~ Essential Skills: Reading, writing, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, decision-making, critical thinking, job planning, organization, and leading small groups.
Minimum 1 year of study in a related subject field (Developmental Service Worker, Community Service Worker, Psychology, Applied Behavioural Analysis, Nursing, Criminology, etc.)
Or least 2 years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
During the initial six-month probation, all employees will undergo evaluations. Facilitators will receive annual performance appraisals and are expected to adhere to job description requirements and responsibilities.
