Your Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for a highly skilled SAP HR Functional Specialist focused on Payroll and Time Management modules. This position requires a deep technical understanding of SAP HCM configurations and the integration points between Payroll, Time Management, and other SAP modules like FI/CO and Benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and optimize SAP HCM Payroll and Time Management modules to meet evolving business needs.
- Conduct detailed testing phases including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT to ensure system functionality aligns with business requirements.
- Liaise with IT and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and functionality across modules.
- Provide technical guidance and training to team members and end-users.
- Lead implementation of SAP support packs and enhancement packages.
Location - Ontario, Alberta
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum of 3 years' experience with hands-on configuration in SAP HCM Payroll and SAP Time Management modules.
- Expertise in configuring schemas, rules in payroll, and work schedules, shift planning, and time evaluation in Time Management.
- Proven capability in handling complex payroll scenarios, including gross-to-net calculations, third-party remittances, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of integration points between SAP Payroll, Time Management, Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), and Benefits modules.
- Experience in managing and resolving issues related to payroll simulations, retroactive accounting, and year-end adjustments.
- Eligibility or possession of Canadian Reliability Clearance.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Over 5 years of experience in SAP HCM configurations, focusing extensively on Canadian Payroll and Time Management systems.
- Documented completion of at least three full life cycle implementations of SAP HCM modules, including requirement gathering, planning, and post-go-live support.
- Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience with collective agreements and unionized environment settings, handling complex calculations and deductions.
