Our client is actively seeking to hire a dynamic and articulate Energy Contract Manager to support the Company’s energy storage business unit. This executive shall manage, draft, evaluate and negotiate contracts, agreements and other commercial documents related to the business unit.
The chosen candidate is expected to provide strategic advice on a variety of contractual matters and assist in the facilitation of resolutions from a contractual perspective. The chosen candidate will have global exposure and have the opportunity to interface with international peers and external partners.
Manage, draft, evaluate and negotiate contracts, agreements and other commercial documents (e.g. Power Purchase Agreements, performance requirements, warranties).
Provide strategic and solution-oriented advice throughout contract lifecycle.
Manage all contractual correspondence and ensure proper control of documents.
Review and amend contracts as needed; ensure amendments are properly documented.
Communicate contractual terms and conditions to internal and external partners and clients.
Analyze terms and identify areas for potential opportunities and/or risks.
Asses company obligations and liabilities from a contractual perspective and ensure compliance to such obligations.
Communicate contractual issues to senior management and assist in facilitating resolutions.
Coordinate on legal issues with internal legal department or external legal partners.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any related discipline
At least ten (10) years of experience in contracts management and administration
Experience within the oil & gas and/or energy industry
Experience within energy storage or solar industry desirable but not required
Expertise in managing reviewing, drafting and negotiating complex/non-standard agreements and large contracts
Solid knowledge of legal and contractual laws governing projects would be helpful
Outstanding communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills required
