Avionics Integration Engineer

Job Description:Reporting to the VP of Engineering, the Avionics Integration Engineer will be the primary Engineering teammember responsible for proposing and implementing avionics technical solutions.Responsibilities:Provide support for all customer and company Avionics requests including recommending technicalsolutions, generating proposals, liaising with Customer Support and Production on quotations, andproviding technical expertise and advise on equipment selection and integrations.Create and review certification data packages, including technical drawings, installation manuals,Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness, flight manuals, test plans, test reports, technical analyses,substantiation reports, certification plans, etc.Manage engineering projects utilizing both internal and external resources ensuring successful projectcompletion.Provide technical support to customers, installers, and the Customer Support team in support of theinstallation and certification of aeronautical products.Remain current on new Avionics technical solutions based on customer inputs and latest trends inavionics technology.Attend trade shows, workshops and training courses as directed by the company to ensure knowledgeand skills are current.Independently conduct online research and communicate with vendors to update understanding ofavionics products.Mentor less experienced colleagues.Develop, and enforce compliance with, internal policies, procedures, and standards to support continuousimprovement.Contribute to the development and operation of a TCCA DAO.Required Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree, Diploma or equivalent in a related field (e.g. Aerospace, Electrical, Avionics, etc.).Eligibility for certification under APEGA or ASET.Minimum of 5 years aviation/aerospace engineering experience.Minimum of 5 years aviation electrical/avionics integration design and substantiation experience.Experience with aircraft certification and familiarity with TCCA CAR 521, 527, 529 and equivalents.Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and effectively handle changing priorities.Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.Possess a high degree of cultural awareness, respect, and sensitivity.Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.Adherence to regulatory/professional standards and company policies.Preference will be given to applicants who also possess:Part 27 or 29 Helicopter completions and/or STC experience.General aviation aircraft completions and/or STC experience.Avionics integration proposals experience.Engineering project management experience.Experience as an installer of avionics systems in addition to Engineering experience.Eligibility for delegation under AWM 505.Familiarity with TCCA CAR 573 and equivalents.Familiarity with FAA 8110‐3 and 337 Approvals procedures.Why work at Eagle?We believe that everyone should enjoy their job and their place of work.
