Contract Position: May to August 2024 (Summer Opportunity)The Role: The Program Support Officer is responsible for supporting the Manager and the team in the day-to-day implementation and administration of the project, this may include delivery of group-based and individual services to an active talent pool of job seekers with disabilities, participating in marketing etc. The Program Support Officer is a dynamic self-motivated individual who wants to learn more about the area of employment for persons with disabilities.The main accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to:Support the delivery, as part of a team of two, of interactive virtual as well as in-person pre-employment training to jobseekers with disabilities in a motivational, accessible, inclusive, and fun environment.Support Job Develop: cold calling, reaching out to local businesses to create opportunities for participants. Troubleshoot program accessibility requirements for virtual participants and ensure full access to program.Administration of program processes and organization of required documentation Establish and maintain a database of all contacts, participants/stakeholders with whom the team communicates;Participate in marketing, liaise with government departments and community organizations.Address and support access to accommodations requirements, from workshop to workplaceConsistently follow up with clients and employers to facilitate employment retention and trouble shoot accommodations, in coordination with Employment CoachMaintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. Preform other duties as required Requirements to be considered for this job:Previous experience working in the field of human services, preference given to work with persons with disabilities.
