We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architectural Design Coordinator to join our dynamic team on the Ontario Line North project. As the Architectural Design Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating all architectural aspects of the project in aligment with other disciplines. This includes collaborating with architects, engineers, consultancies, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful integration of architectural designs within the overall subway construction project. Responsibilities:
Coordinate Architectural Design Activities:
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and design teams to develop, coordinate the architectural deliverables plans for the EGS project subway construction projects.
Ensure that architectural designs align with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
Project Planning and Scheduling:
Develop Follow and maintain project schedules for architectural design activities.
Coordinate with project managers to integrate architectural design milestones into the overall project timeline.
Quality Assurance:
Implement quality control measures to ensure that architectural designs meet industry standards and project requirements.
Review and approve design documentation, drawings, and specifications.
Team Collaboration:
Facilitate communication and collaboration between the design team architectural teams, engineering teams, and other project stakeholders.
Conduct Attend, maintain and register regular meetings to update team members on architectural design progress and address any challenges.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay abreast of local building codes, zoning regulations, and other relevant standards to ensure compliance in architectural designs.
Coordinate with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals for architectural plans.
Problem Resolution:
Identify and address any issues or challenges related to architectural design during the construction phase.
Work closely with the project team to implement effective solutions and mitigate risks.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all architectural design activities.
Generate reports and updates for project managers and other stakeholders as required.
Required Skills and Competencies
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
Proven experience in architectural design coordination for large-scale construction projects, preferably subway or transportation infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of architectural principles, building codes, and construction standards.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Project management skills and experience in coordinating multiple design aspects simultaneously.
