We are currently seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer for a remote full-time position in Ontario, Canada. Our client, a leading SaaS company operating out ofToronto, specializes in providing innovative cloud-based solutions to businesses worldwide. Operating remotely across Ontario, the successful candidate will join a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring the security and integrity of the company's software platforms and customer data.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain security measures for cloud-based SaaS applications, including identity and access management, data encryption, and security monitoring.
Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications for security breaches and promptly respond to security incidents.
Conduct security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
WorkalongisideDevOps and engineering teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into the software development lifecycle.
Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation for the SaaS platform.
Stay up-to-date with the Security trends, threats, and technologies relevant to SaaS environments.
Provide training and awareness programs to internal teams.
Participate in incident response activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the securityprogram for SaaS products.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
3+ years of experience in Security engineering or related roles, preferably in SaaS environments.
Strong understanding of Cyber Security principles, technologies, and best practices applicable to cloud-based services.
Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
Preferably, experience working with cloud-based environments like AWS or Azure.
Knowledge of web application security, including OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and secure coding practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or AWS Certified Security Specialty are a plus.
