Our Mission:
The Mission of the Rural Parish Clinic is exercised through a robust team of volunteer physicians, dentists, nurses, hygienists, administrators, and a small paid staff. Inspired by the mercy and healing of Jesus Christ, the clinic seeks to encounter the whole human person by offering personal and intentional healthcare.
The Rural Parish Clinic serve people in need of primary medical and dental care in rural communities with a mobile medical and dental clinic. The patients served are uninsured, income qualifying persons (under 200% poverty level) regardless of faith who live in rural Missouri.
Objectives of this Role
Promote awareness of the organization’s mission and work
Cultivate a network of dedicated donors and volunteers
Spot new fundraising opportunities
Lead a small team with initiatives outlined in the Strategic Development Plan to meet financial goals
Form strong relationships with external stakeholders
Steward and collaborate with major donors through regular communication
Responsibilities:
Working with leadership in the local areas staff a leadership, engage and energize members to become donors and to raise the priority of OMAA in their giving hierarchy.
Develop and implement required communications strategy and tactical execution plans (including digital and social media, personal contact, events and donor recognition) to achieve development and engagement goals.
Design, develop and implement a planned giving program
Identify and cultivate a target prospect list (including foundations, endowments and other charitable institutions) through research, digital communications and networking.
Develop and maintain a member and prospect database to monitor and report donor activities and outcomes.
Develop and manage a donation tracking system to ensure accurate and timely reporting of donations, annual pledges and planned-giving in full compliance with applicable law and regulations.
Develop an annual fundraising plan and budget in excess of 1 million by new donors for approval by the Board and provide monthly and quarterly budget monitoring reports to the CEO/President and the Board.
Generate tailored and impactful written correspondence, including gift acknowledgments and commemoration of special events (significant anniversaries, birthdays, awards, etc.) to donors.
Undertake special projects or added responsibilities as required at the direction of the CEO/President with the support of the Director of Operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
At least 6+ years of experience in fundraising with a non-profit
Passion for the care of the sick and the poor
Values consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church
High-level of integrity
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
Proven ability to secure major donor gifts of $50,000 and above
Ability to lead and motivate colleagues and volunteers
Strong attention to detail
Proven track record of mentoring and coaching fundraisers to achieve success
Ability to successfully balance priorities while managing multiple tasks and planning major fundraising events
Proven and effective written, oral, presentation and relationship building skills
Proficient in Microsoft (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Raisers’ Edge, Donor Perfect or other donor management software.
Visible, open, and engaging leadership style
Team player with ability to relate effectively with the leadership, staff, peers, and donors
Demonstrated ability to be decisive and to make timely and well-informed decisions
Capacity to independently carry out multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into timely, actionable and profitable development results.
Discipline to implement continuous fundraising process improvements that result in impactful outcomes
Other:
Ability to travel, including to the areas to attend local events and meet with current and prospective donors
Education/Certification
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
Certification in Fundraising Management Preferred
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Competence with donor management systems
Experience in writing grant proposals, press releases, and fundraising letters
Confidence in public speaking
Capital campaign experience preferred
