We’re looking for a passionate, driven and energetic candidate to join our team for the position of Human Resources Generalist located in our Head Office in Guelph, Ontario.

Job Description

Looking for a chance to make your mark in a fast-paced, professional and fun environment? As a Human Resources Generalist, you will demonstrate commitment to building a strong Human Resources service team with a focus on employee relations. You will assist the HR Manager in providing strategic guidance to the various leaders within Skyline, while maintaining focus on our shared goal of creating meaningful value and an exceptional experience for our customers, our people, and our communities.

What you'll be doing:

Provide support and consultation to managers and supervisors in regards to employee relations/employee management, recruitment, policies, procedures and programs that support the organization and promote learning and development, leadership effectiveness, employment equity and workplace safety.

Assist the HR Manager in providing strategic guidance to Skyline leaders through workforce planning, and talent development.

Identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement through streamlining and automation of processes to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness through analysis, creation of process maps and research.

Assist people managers in employment relation issues.

Support Wellness and Health & Safety Initiatives.

What we look for:

Experience in strong administrative skills and applicable payroll laws.

Demonstrated tact and diplomacy with highly confidential information.

Ability to be proactive with good problem-solving skills, judgement and innovation.

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with an enthusiasm for working with the public.

Capable of operating under pressure and meeting deadlines.

Post-Secondary Education (HR Degree/Diploma preferred) and 5 years' related experience in Human Resources OR relevant combination of education and experience.

Working towards the CHRP designation is an asset.
