This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager or Architect with strong Project Management experience, to join a highly reputable and multidisciplinary Architecture firm focused in the commercial, multi-family and mixed-use sector in Vancouver, British Columbia.

THE JOB
The Senior Project Manager will possess a strong understanding of the design and construction process and will have experience managing the process on projects from inception to completion. There will be a specific emphasis on maintaining and building client relationships as well as a dynamic approach to working with a team through the contracting, construction and tendering phases. Building targeted goals and meeting objectives and timelines will be a key component of the day to day duties of this role, so good organisation skills are essential. Projects will focus in both large and small commercial and mixed-use developments throughout Western Canada. The position will have opportunity to grow further into a Senior Leadership/Management position such as an Associate role, therefore strong leadership skills are preferred.
WHAT'S REQUIRED
This candidate will have the following aspects;
Minimum 5 years of experience working with Project Management in North America
Registered Architect, AIBC or eligible to become registered preferred
PMP, LEED certifications are assets
Excellent experience managing large projects from inception to completion with understanding of the contracting and construction phases
Strong technical experience so as to be able to review and mark up drawings on occasion
Ability to perform and execute a project as well as lead a team effectively is a must
Good Contract Administration skills
Experience working with engineers, architects, and technologists with various projects following schedules and timelines efficiently
Experience working with project financials and budgets
Exceptional presentation and communication skills
Some experience working with woodframe projects/construction is essential, on multifamily projects
