JOB TITLE INDIGENOUS RECRUITMENT COORDINATOR

NATIONAL OCCUPATION CODE 12101

POSITION TYPE PERMANENT, FULL-TIME

Are you an Indigenous person who is interested in education and career development? Do you want to work with some of the leading aerospace companies in Manitoba? Do you enjoy connecting with people and helping them achieve their goals?

If so, Manitoba Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for you! We are a not-for-profit organization that works with the local aerospace industry to help develop a skilled workforce. You will work in partnership with the Centre for Aboriginal Human Resource Development (CAHRD) and Neeginan College to develop and implement recruitment strategies, provide support services to trainees/employees, raise awareness of the aerospace industry among the Indigenous community, and promote an understanding of Indigenous issues for the local aerospace industry.

You will also have the opportunity to learn from some of the best aerospace professionals in Manitoba and gain valuable knowledge of the industry

To be successful in this role, you need:

To be an Indigenous person

To have a degree or certification in a field related to education, psychology, sociology, behavioral science, human resources, or social work

To have excellent written and oral communication skills

To have a practical understanding of Microsoft Office

To have experience in recruitment, marketing, or outreach activities

To have knowledge of local Indigenous communities

To have a current driver’s license and access to a vehicle

To be willing to work occasional evenings and/or weekends.
