The Poirier Group serves clients across Canada and theUnited States. Travel to client sites is required atapproximately 30%. TPG’s main office is located at 703Evans Court in Etobicoke, Ontario and we currently have a hybrid model with 2 days in the office.
AManagement Consultant is an individual contributor playing amajor role in executing client commitments and projects tocompletion, including planning, analyzing, designing,presenting, implementing, and achieving sustainable improvedperformance. In way of fact-finding activities, consultantsare expected to clearly identify areas of improvement,analyze and summarize data, logically structurerecommendations and formulate an understandable businesscase, and finally execute committed initiatives based on thevoice of the client. All Management Consultants work with aproject team led by the Program Lead and Project Lead.
Responsibilities
Analyze complexdata and synthesize theinformation for effective communication with stakeholders .
Facilitateengagements with various levels of an organization aimed atcreating business plans, gap analyses, process maps,labour/work analyses, and other process improvement techniques.
Work closely with clients to understand their needs, create strategies for change, win client support/buy-infor your recommendations, and collaborate with colleagues to transform client potential intoperformance
Applyresults-based problem solving to design and conceptualizeclient solutions based on a solid understanding ofbusiness process improvement and change management methodologies.
Support clientengagements through creating high-qualitydeliverables, solutions, industry best practices, and otherknowledge artifacts to meet committed initiatives
Focus onanalyzing and diagnosing the client’s current state,identifying improvement opportunities based on addressingroot causes, architecting solutions, and implementationroadmaps across various industries.
Develop, maintain,and strengthen client relationships through day-to-daycommunication and continuously help define the voice of the customer
Develop and present strong story-telling through written and oral communication whenpresenting ideas
Identifyopportunities with existing clients, creating, and deliveringproposals that accurately represent TPG’s approach.
Be a culturecarrier supporting and growing the firm’s values andculture.
Requirements Toqualify for a TN1 Visa, a Canadian Passport ismandatory as our work is predominately throughout NorthAmerica. Due to the requirements of a TN1 Visa,candidates with a work permit or with a permanentresident status do not qualify. A US Passport is an alternative.
University Degreein Engineering, Business, Finance or Science is arequirement.
Change Management, PMP (Project ManagementProfessional), Lean Six SigmaBlack Belt Certification, and/or CPA, CMA, CPA, is highly preferred.
Supply ChainManagement Certifications are welcomed
5-10 years ofrelevant work experience implementingoperational process improvement in Retail, Manufacturing,Supply Chain, Procurement, Information Technology, and/or Grocery.
Advancedknowledge and experience with Microsoft Word,PowerPoint, and Visio.
Excellent dataanalytics in Microsoft Excel, and Power BI.
Acollaborative mentality with a positive and encouragingattitude, willing to help the team out beyond assigned duties
Quickly grasp‘what does done look like’ by understanding the client needand our commitment to deliver set-out initiatives.
Attention todetail and construction of high-quality deliverables
A curious andself-starter mindset, consistently looking for ways to drivevalue and contribute to the team
Relationshipmanagement skills, ability to quickly initiate trustingrelationships to a broad range of people

Provenproject management/leadership skills with experienceleading large continuous improvement initiatives.
Capableof effectively managing multiple projects andassignments, both client-facing and internal.
Upto date with the latest leading-edge solutions,methodologies, tools, trends, and innovations inbusiness process improvement. Including but not limitedto Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, Cause and EffectAnalysis, Value-Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, DataAnalysis, etc.
Knowledgeablein process improvement techniques such as data analysis,object-oriented analysis, modelling techniques, projectsizing and costing, and current state analysis/needsassessment, statistical process control charting,significance testing, etc.
Familiarwith business assessment tools (e.g., feasibilitystudies, business cases, cost/benefit, benchmarking,etc.).
Superiorability to prepare and deliver compelling presentations,proposals, and reports that are accurate, error-free,and relevant.
