The role ensures adherence to the policies and practices defined in the ASSA ABLOY Reporting Manual, GAAP and provides reliable, in depth financial planning and analysis support to the management team. Key Responsibilities The Director of Finance will be accountable for: Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of the Finance departmentEstablish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures in alignment with corporate values and guidelinesManage financial and cash strategiesLead the capital request and budgeting processes for the business unitsLead the issuance of financial information in the correct format and on timeReview monthly financial information prepared by Controller, prepare variance analysis to budget (prior year and forecasts) and preparation of monthly reports for the Leadership team.Manage, lead and motivate key accounting personnel who support this positionReview and approve all statutory filings for timely submissionMonitor all open legal and compliance issues involving the business unitsReview financial internal controls and implementing those required for the companyEnsure business unit's compliance with all legal and regulatory requirementsEnsure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agenciesMonitor cash balances and cash forecastsActively participate as a member of the Leadership teamBe a culture champion and lead by example to encourage a culture of collaboration, team work and accountability Qualifications Post Secondary Degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experienceMinimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environmentActive CPA license/designation is preferredExperience as a Leader at the Director level is preferredProven experience leading and mentoring an administrative finance teamExperience with corporate banking, financial reporting, covenants and cash flow monitoring and reportingExperience with creating financial statementsExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close processExperience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environmentExceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organizationExcellent proficiency with Excel and ERP software toolsAbility to identify and manage risk and bring issues to the Leadership table with solutions on how to mitigate cost and risk Personal Characteristics & Skills Expert in creating and/or supporting the development of business cases seeking progressive investmentAn organized and detail oriented approach to managing projects, priorities and deadlines.An open, approachable management style and an astute ability to listen to input, evaluate other points of view and to achieve collaborative success in planning and decision making.An ability to inspire people and lead them to higher performance.Demonstrated willingness to learn and improve.Recognition of the importance of good customer service and a dynamic internal culture.Keen problem solving skills.Your integrity is admired by those around youYou radiate positive energy and have an outgoing personalityA desire to identify, coach and mentor emerging talent. In-office presence will be required for this role 5 days a week. Hybrid schedules are subject to approval and on an as required basis.
