Are you a motivated and professional accountant seeking a hands-on role where you can contribute to the full cycle of financial activities for a prestigious company with over a century of progressive business in the Greater Halifax/Dartmouth area?
As Senior Accountant with our notable client, youll play a pivotal role in ensuring accuracy and integrity for the companys day-to-day financial records while providing valuable insights to support strategic decision making. This is a full-time, permanent in-office role based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Key Requirements for the Job: Full cycle accounting
General ledger maintenance
Bank reconciliations
Sales tracking and work order reviews
Financial reporting
Expense tracking
Inventory management
Month-end closing
Other duties and projects as assigned
Experience & Attributes for Success: Post-secondary education in accounting is preferred or other equivalent training/career experience
Confident professional with a self-motivated work ethic
Ability to take charge, assess workflow demands, and delegate
Independent and reliable while also being a collaborative team player with management
Proven experience establishing and implementing processes and procedures
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
