The Finance Manager, will be reporting to the Director of FP&A. This individual will work directly with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), IT, Operations, and other teams driving IT/CapEx and G&A spend. They will also partner with Accounting and Production Finance. The Manager of Finance is a hands-on role that is responsible for driving financial, CapEx and G&A planning, modeling, reporting and analytics of both the VFX and the Virtual Production business segment. They will also support planning and modeling regional P&Ls and collaborate with regional business leaders to drive alignment.
Key Responsibilities Develop business cases, financial models, budgets and forecasts on a business unit and regional basis in a fast-paced environment
Collaborate with IT and operational teams to ensure IT/CapEx and G&A planning is properly forecasted, budgeted, and aligned with expectations
Prepare and present regular and ad-hoc financial reporting packages and models
Analyze company financial results and provide insights and recommendations for cost control and performance improvement
Proactively identify problems and provide suggestions to mitigate risk
Evolve the existing reporting suite to meet the specific needs of various stakeholders including developing new reports, evaluating data flows and suggesting changes, and automating/streamlining existing reports for improved accuracy and efficiency
Collaborate with Executive Management and various stakeholders on strategic initiatives
Additional duties may be assigned
Minimum Qualifications Minimum of Five (5) years of experience in a hands-on finance role or equivalent experience
Skilled in creating clear, organized presentations and leading discussions with senior leaders
Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills
Superior analytical skills
Ability to manage priorities, and work towards tight deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Basic understanding of accounting principles under US GAAP
Preferred Qualifications Professional designation (CPA or CFA)
Consulting or other client services experience
Experience with DataRails or other planning systems
Background in VFX or technology
$130,000 - $165,000 a year This salary range is specific to applicants applying to our position in Vancouver, BC. To determine your base salary, we consider your qualifications, skills, and experience.
