Vice President Marketing

We’re searching for an innovative VP of Marketing to join our agency. If you’re right for this role, then you’ll definitely have a passion for developing brand and marketing strategy, setting and achieving targets aligned with broader business goals, establishing relationships with press and internal client teams, and leading the Marketing and Comms team. You’ve got a crystal-clear view of the digital landscape, and you’re eager to guide our overall marketing plan across brand, media, public relations, market research, issues management, crisis communication, awards, and marketing-related customer relationship and engagement activities—all essential to building our agency’s brand reputation and expanding awareness across the industry. You’re also a gifted leader, too, ready to directly oversee our small-but-mighty marketing and comms team while working very closely and collaboratively with our business development team.

You will:

Analyzing existing branding and marketing strategies and improving upon them.

Reporting to the agency CEO and working closely to define overall strategic direction.

Leading a capable marketing team and delegating tasks fairly.

Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and yearly budgets, and allocating resources appropriately.

Hands on execution of key marketing tasks e.g., events, awards, thought leadership, press (working closely with the team)

Setting daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly targets, and implementing various incentives to ensure they are achieved.

Conducting market research and implementing new strategies based on findings.

Monitoring industry trends and briefing the team on new information.

Closely monitoring competitors’ successes and failures and learning from them.

Supervising marketing events and launches and using these spaces to network with industry professionals.

Assisting with the recruitment, training, and onboarding of new staff.

Building relationships with key industry organizations; assessing and actioning strategic partnerships.

You have:

BSc in marketing, branding, business, PR, or a similar field.

Master’s degree may be preferable.

Extensive experience in a similar role.

Superb marketing and research skills.

Knowledge and practical experience with SEO, digital marketing tools, and related software.

Highly observant and analytical.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to make difficult decisions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Willingness to travel.
